Concrete work racing along at Bristol Dragway

Work is progressing quickly at Bristol Dragway following the postponement of last weekend's planned O'Reilly NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals presented by Q. The offending concrete from the 700-foot launchpad has been removed and new rebar put in place in anticipation of a new pour, which is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22.

The O'Reilly NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals presented by Q has been rescheduled for July 6-8.

Well the rescheduled event is underway and I will post the final results once they have been run and won.

Just another bit of trivia about the replacement of the concrete, total cost for this is in excess of US$500,000.

Also the venue has not had a car on it's new surface until last Friday, with track prep work not finished until Thursday.
