V8 TV coverage via KODI for international fans

Post by Raggs » Fri Feb 19, 2016 4:33 am

I'm a Canadian fan of the best racing series in the world "V8 Supercars" and that opinion is based on years of marshalling everything from F1and IndyCar through club racing at Mosport, Montreal and Toronto plus watching all types of motorsport since I was a kid. The U.S. Channel SpeedTV used to carry all the V8 events via tape delay but since FOX U.S. bought them a couple of years ago our only exposure is through youtube's limited videos.
I have access to some international channels via KODI but have been unable to find FOX Australia or Channel 10 so now I would really appreciate your help to locate a source to be able to watch the coming season either live or delayed. I'm sure that I am not the only fan searching so your help would benefit others too.
Many thanks for your input.
Have a great season!

Welcome aboard, Raggs. Sounds like marshaling at Mosport would be cool.

Check you PMs. I know what it is like to have the old Speed Channel go away. :banghead

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
No, I haven't been lucky enough to see the Supercars live...YET. Waiting for that elusive lottery win!
Much appreciate your pm Mike D...I'll check it out and let you know.
Yeah, marshalling at Mosport was fun. I did some timing/lap scoring way back during the CanAm days and for F5000, etc.. Due to work commitments I couldn't guarantee being available on weekends for several years but did get to go to some WSC events and others. Then I got into the "white suit" thing just as the Golden Age of Canadian racing began so I was at Ron Fellows first TransAm win there. Got promoted to blue-flagger my second year and worked every event at Mosport, the Molson Indys and Montreal F1 in 1988. Life changes meant more important things than track-time but I try to catch as much on the tube as I can. Too old now to run with a fire bottle!
My wife had a hot lap with Wally Dallenbach Sr. in his AMG6.3 at the Indy one year when he was Chief Tech. Then I had a Viper ride with one of the pace-car girls. When she found out I marshalled she said "Cool, now I can turn it up!" and she did.
I'm just starting to convert lots of slides to digital so will be able to share if you're interested sometime.
Cheers!

I had a policewoman say something like that to me a long time ago. It wasn't for the better......

Never had that kind of contact with a cop of either gender, thanks!
Anyone interested in some pix from the Ford GT40 reunion at Watkins a Glen in Sept./89?

Hi Raggs,

Welcome to the forum. Once you hit 5 posts you become a 'Spectator' and are then allowed to use the PM feature.

I see you are at 5 posts now and are a 'Spectator' so you should be able to noe send a PM etc.

thanks
RIP - Peter Brock [26/2/45 – 8/9/06]

Hi Wiked and thanks for the welcome. Glad to be aboard and looking forward to a great season. If Adelaide was any indication it will be one.

Hi,

Interested in how this can be done. I'm in the USA and new to Kodi - and really miss my V8s. It's the last race of the season, so this'll be more useful next year but somebody help!
